TF HOUSE
The renovation project of the TF House, located in the downtown area of the city of Americana (São Paulo state’s countryside, Brazil) takes into account the adaptation from a young bachelor’s house program to one of a newly married couple.
The plot of 550m² held, already, an extensive garden and a residence of 100m² whose basic configurations were maintained under the clients’ request. The project aim was to provide the couple with greater privacy, by including elements bordering each environment, excluding the need to close those completely with masonry walls while the concept of integration already in place was maintained, but still allowing a better distinction between the social and intimate areas.
By the built area’s maintenance, the old barbecue grill removed from the project was included to the inside area, becoming, at the same time, the house’s dining and living room, both facing the garden with the beautiful preexisting fruitful tree. The kitchen, incorporated to the dining room, kept it’s former island and the previous TV room was reconfigured.
At the Intimate wing, a wood partition (as high as the house’s doors) was insert separating the changing room from the bedroom, having a large-sized mirror added in the changing room side. An exact replica of the husband’s closet, with the same size and details, was made for his wife and by this new closet, there was also included a dressing table custom-made for the area.
There were little modifications to the bathroom. All of it’s coating was substituted, and a new glass partition was added in order to better delimitate the shower stall area. The existing countertop was kept, and complemented with a large-sized mirror and a led wall light, as well as a vanity cabinet that takes the entirety of the countertop’s bottom.
